Computational Neuroscience

The research on neurons activity and neuronal networks focus on two possible topics:

1) development of theoretical biophysical models of neurons and neuronal networks, including the possibility to experimentally characterize the neuronal activity via calcium imaging, with specific focus on the neural system of the nematode C. elegans (in collaboration with Prof. G. Ruocco, Center for Life Nanoscience CLNS@Sapienza, IIT, Rome, Italy);

2) modeling and reconstruction of 2D and 3D neuronal networks relating the topology and the function, in healthy  and pathological conditions, based on two phonons microscopy and calcium imaging (in collaboration with Prof. G. Ruocco, Center for Life Nanoscience CLNS@Sapienza, IIT, Rome, Italy).
